Cadillac Sky Cadillac Sky
January 9, 2009

The five sincere young men that make up Cadillac Sky, Bryan, Matt, Ross, Panda, and David, realize that people remember moments...when they look back on their life, they will not remember the days, but the moments in their life.  Cadillac Sky is a musical unit that strives with every note recorded, every show performed, to create moments that will be remembered and music that will last.  "Original", "innovative", "fearless", "ambitious", 'propulsive", "a marvel of emotion and razor sharp focus"...these are the words of those that have had a chance to hear the sound that for the past several years has been reverberating out of Texas from one of American music's most compelling bands, Cadillac Sky.  Their music has been coined everything from "experimental acoustic music" to 'psychobilly bluegrass" but they themselves, simply hope they just make "good" music.  Join us at the Nampa Civic Center for an evening of entertainment to start the New Year off right!  This energetic group will encompass the stage and your hearts with a performance that shouldn't be missed!

Adults: $15.00 and Children 12 & under: $10.00.

PINOCCHIO Missoula Children's Theatre
PINOCCHIO
January 24, 2009

Geppetto fashioned the puppet in the image of a small boy.  Even as the lonely and kind woodcarver worked far into the night, old Geppetto was not aware that the wood under the chisel had come from the trunk of an enchanted tree.  But the Blue Fairy was aware, as she watched from afar and gave to that puppet the gift of life.  Thus begins the Missoula Children's Theatre adaptation of one of the most beloved of all children’s stories – Pinocchio.  Join our wooden-head as he dances with Geppetto’s charming toys, travels the road to Pleasure Isle with Candlewick and his Crew, and is swindled by the unsavory Fox and Cat.  After escaping the clutches of the evil puppetmaster, Stromboli, Pinocchio find himself in trouble once more – this time swallowed by a monstrous whale. Very scary stuff! As Geppetto and the friendly Urchins spin their magical tale, we learn with Pinocchio that there are no shortcuts on the road to becoming a real, live boy.

Join us for this family friendly, entertaining production, performed by over 50 local youth.   Great for children of all ages.

With both keeping a firm grip on their respective traditions and values, Anna and the King grow to understand and, eventually, respect one another, in a truly unique love story. Along with the dazzling score, the incomparable Jerome Robbins ballet, “The Small House of Uncle Thomas,” is one of the all-time marvels of the musical stage.
