Nampa Civic Center History
In the early 1970's, a citizens committee identified
the need for an event center for the Nampa community. Twenty years later,
the Civic Center celebrated dedication ceremonies on May 12, 1990. On
May 12, 2000, the Civic Center celebrated 10 years of service to the Nampa
Community. Since its opening, the Civic Center has welcomed over one million
people through its doors and hosted over six thousand events. The Civic
Center was created through the support of private businesses, individuals
and the City of Nampa. The entire facility was paid for prior to opening
